The artist-carver was a master of detail, which is evident in the detailed incising on the clothing of this charming couple. The woman appears to be holding a pet taken from a carrying case at her feet. The man has a stylized lion head on his shoulder. They have both seen their 150th birthdays and are in sound delightful condition. They stand slightly over 6 inches high.
