This mask was field collected
on the Ivory Coast of West Africa and has been in storage since 1950. This piece dates from pre-World War II back to turn of the previous century and was obviously fashioned with crude tools. Measures eighteen inches in height and is an extraordinary
example of Baule craftsmanship.
